EZclass Refund Policy

No Refunds – All Sales Are Final
EZclass is committed to providing high-quality online classes and subscription services. Due to the nature of our offerings – reserving teacher time and granting immediate access to educational content – we maintain a strict NO REFUND policy on all purchases. By purchasing any class or subscription on EZclass, you acknowledge and agree that all sales are final and not eligible for return, refund, or cancellation.
This policy applies to all types of purchases on our Platform, including but not limited to:
- One-Time Class Bookings: Individual classes or packages of classes (whether for one student or a small group).
- Subscription Plans: Monthly, quarterly, annual or any other recurring membership plans that grant access to classes or content.
- Digital Content or Add-Ons: Any downloadable materials, course content, or additional services purchased (if any are offered separate from classes).
We do not offer refunds or credits for any reason except in the rare circumstances explicitly described under “Exceptions” below. Changes of mind, schedule conflicts, or dissatisfaction with the class after attendance are not grounds for a refund under this policy.
Understanding Our No-Refund Policy
When you purchase a class or subscription with EZclass, you are reserving a spot or spots with a dedicated teacher at a specific time or gaining immediate benefit from our learning resources. Our teachers are compensated for their time and preparation, and space in classes is limited. As such, once a purchase is made:
- Your Payment is Final: We will not issue refunds to your original payment method for classes you cannot attend or decide not to attend. This is comparable to purchasing a ticket to a live event – if you don’t show up, the seat was still held for you.
- Subscription Commitment: When you subscribe, you gain instant access to our platform features (e.g., ability to schedule classes in advance, access to curriculum or learning materials). You also commit to a billing cycle. Even if you do not utilize all available classes or features in your subscription period, you will not be refunded for unused time/classes. For example, if you subscribe to a monthly plan and only take one class that month, the subscription fee for that month remains due in full.
- Auto-Renewal: All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of their billing period (e.g., your monthly subscription will charge you each month) until you cancel. It is your responsibility to cancel your subscription before the next billing date if you do not wish to continue. If you forget to cancel and are charged for a new period, that charge is non-refundable. We send renewal reminders or make the renewal terms clear at purchase time, and by subscribing you agree to these automatic charges.
- Digital Nature of Service: Our services (online classes and educational content) are intangible and delivered in real-time or via digital access. There’s no product to "return." The moment a class is booked or a subscription is activated, you have received value (the reserved teacher time or access to materials) that cannot be undone. Much like other e-learning platforms or digital services, once access is provided, the sale is final. This approach is consistent with industry standards for digital and subscription services where content is delivered immediately and cannot truly be returned.
Examples (For Clarity)
We want you to fully understand how this policy works in practice. Here are some common scenarios to illustrate our no-refund policy:
- Example 1: Missed Class. You purchased a one-time class scheduled for next Tuesday at 5 PM. Tuesday comes and you forget to attend or you have a last-minute conflict (or technical issues on your side, such as internet problems). Unfortunately, since the teacher was present and waiting, and a spot was held for you, you are not entitled to a refund or a free reschedule for that missed session.
- Example 2: Subscription Change of Mind. You subscribe to a monthly plan on the 1st of the month. On the 15th, you realize you’re too busy and haven’t taken any classes yet, and you request a refund for that month. Under this policy, we do not grant a refund for the half-month unused portion. You still have access to use the classes for the remainder of the month, and you can choose to cancel future renewal, but the current month will not be refunded.
- Example 3: Partial Use of Subscription. You bought a package that gives you 8 classes per month, and you only ended up taking 5 classes this month. There is no refund for the unused 5 classes. In some cases, if your plan allows roll-over of classes (check your specific plan’s terms), you might be able to take them next month while your subscription is active. But if not, they simply expire. We price our subscriptions with the understanding that some users may not use 100% of the allotment, which is factored into the cost.
- Example 4: Forgot to Cancel. Your free trial ended or your 1-month subscription auto-renewed, and your credit/debit card was just charged for the next month, but you intended to cancel. We understand this can happen, and you should cancel as soon as you realize you no longer want to continue. However, charges already incurred will not be refunded. You will retain access to the service for the paid period (since you paid for it), and the cancellation will ensure no future charges, but the current charge stands. This is why we send reminders and require agreement to auto-renewal terms when you first subscribe.
- Example 5: Dissatisfaction. After attending a class, you feel that you didn’t enjoy it or didn’t get the value you hoped for. We encourage you to provide feedback and we can try to make it right by perhaps offering tips, another teacher recommendation, or other non-monetary remedies to improve your experience. However, a dislike of the class content or teaching style is not grounds for a refund, since the service was delivered. We suggest reading teacher profiles and class descriptions carefully and using free trial opportunities (if available) to gauge fit before committing to purchases.
These examples are for illustration. In all cases, our default stance is that payments are non-refundable once made.
Acknowledgment of Policy Before Purchase
We make every effort to ensure that users are aware of this No Refund Policy prior to completing a purchase. On the checkout page or registration process, you will see a clear statement that by proceeding with payment, you agree to our Terms, Privacy Policy, and this Refund Policy. We may require you to check a box confirming acceptance. If you do not agree, you should not complete the purchase.
Other platforms with similar models also enforce strict no-refund policies for digital content and subscriptions, and they present these terms at purchase. By mirroring this approach, we aim to avoid any ambiguity: once you pay, the funds are committed. We encourage you to review your purchase details (such as class schedule, subscription plan, pricing) carefully before confirming payment. If anything is unclear, contact our support for clarification before you pay.
Exceptions (Limited Circumstances)
General Rule: No Monetary Refunds
While our general policy is no monetary refunds, in certain situations where a class or service could not be delivered as promised due to reasons attributable to EZclass, we may offer a class credit or, in rare cases, consider issuing a refund when no equivalent alternative can be provided.
Below are examples of how we handle specific situations:
- Class Cancellation by EZclass: If we must cancel a class or service that you have paid for (for example, if a teacher becomes unavailable and we are unable to provide a suitable substitute or reschedule), we will offer you a class credit to make up for the missed service.
Monetary refunds will not be provided unless no rescheduling or credit option is available or acceptable — in such cases, a refund may be issued as a last resort.
- Serious Technical Issues on Our Side: If a class fails to occur due to a technical issue directly caused by EZclass (such as a platform outage or a defective Zoom integration that we cannot resolve in time), we will offer to reschedule the class at no additional cost. If rescheduling is not feasible, we may issue a class credit or refund for that session.
Please note: Technical problems on your end (e.g. personal internet issues, device malfunctions, or software incompatibilities) are not eligible for credits or refunds and would be considered a missed class under our no refund policy.
- Instructor No-Show: If an instructor does not show up for a scheduled class, resulting in the class not taking place, please notify us promptly. Once verified, you will be entitled to:
- A class credit for a future session.
In cases where a class started late due to a teacher delay, but still took place, we may offer a partial class credit depending on the specific circumstances. These will be
handled on a case-by-case basis.
- Billing Errors: If you are mistakenly charged an incorrect amount or charged multiple times due to an error on our part or the payment processor’s side, we will correct the mistake.
Examples include:
Duplicate charges → We will refund the duplicate charge.
Charges after timely subscription cancellation → We will refund the improper charge. These are corrections of billing errors and not considered discretionary refunds.
- Extraordinary Hardship (Goodwill Exceptions): We understand that life can bring unforeseen difficulties. If you experience a serious personal hardship (such as a medical emergency or other exceptional event) that prevents you from using a significant portion of your purchased classes or subscription, you may contact us to request a special review.
While our general policy is no monetary refunds, in rare and well-documented cases, management may offer a partial class credit or, exceptionally, a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill — at our sole discretion.
Supporting documentation (such as a doctor’s note) may be required. Please note that this is not a guarantee but an option of last resort, evaluated compassionately and reasonably.
Any exception or refund provided in one of these cases is done without prejudice to our general policy. That means it’s a one-time accommodation and does not indicate that similar future requests will be granted. Our decision in each case is final.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Initiating a chargeback (dispute) with your bank or credit/debit card for a legitimate charge under this No Refund Policy is strongly discouraged and could be considered a violation of our Terms of Service. Because we explicitly obtain your agreement to this Refund Policy prior to purchase, banks will typically side with our policy when we provide proof of your acceptance and usage of services.
- If you have an issue, please contact us first at [email protected]. We would like to resolve any concerns amicably.
- If you dispute a charge that is consistent with this policy (for instance, you file a chargeback saying “service not as described” or “product not received” after you missed a class or forgot to cancel a subscription), we will provide the card processor or bank with evidence: the agreed terms, usage logs, emails, etc., demonstrating that the charge was valid. This could result in the chargeback being denied by your bank. Additionally, disputing charges without valid basis may result in account termination as it indicates a breach of trust.
- On the other hand, if a charge was truly fraudulent or unauthorized (e.g., someone stole your card and used it on our site), obviously you have the right to dispute that – and we will cooperate with authorities in such cases. This policy does not intend to abrogate your protections against fraud, but rather to set expectations for legitimate purchases.
Be aware that unjustified chargebacks that we have to contest can slow down the resolution process, even in cases where you may otherwise be eligible for a credit or refund. Additionally, such chargebacks may incur fees from our payment processors, which we reserve the right to recover
from users who abuse the chargeback process. We reserve the right to seek those fees from users who abuse chargeback processes in violation of this policy.
Subscription Cancellations
While refunds are not given, you are always free to cancel a subscription to prevent future charges. Canceling will stop the auto-renewal of your membership. You will continue to have access to your subscription benefits until the end of the current paid period, after which it will not renew.
Instructions for cancellation: you can typically cancel via your account settings under subscription/ billing, or by contacting support. We recommend canceling at least 24 hours before your renewal date to ensure the cancellation is processed in time.
After cancellation, you will not be charged again, but no prorated refund is provided for the remainder of the period. (For example, if you cancel halfway through a month, you still have access for the rest of that month, but you won’t get a half-month refund).
If you change your mind after canceling and before the current period ends, you may choose to renew your subscription or let it lapse and subscribe again later.
Policy Agreement
By making a purchase on EZclass, you are explicitly agreeing to this Refund Policy. During checkout, you will see language confirming that you understand and agree that there are no refunds. We require this agreement as a condition of sale. If you do not agree, you should not proceed with the purchase. We have put this policy in place to be transparent and to enable us to maintain consistent pricing and quality service for all users.
Remember, the rationale behind this policy is to keep our operations fair and sustainable: our teachers dedicate time and effort to prepare for each class, and scheduling a class means someone else potentially could not book that slot. Likewise, our subscription model is priced to give you access to a wealth of resources from the get-go. Allowing refunds would force us to raise prices for everyone or compensate teachers for lost income, which we strive to avoid. We appreciate your understanding of these business realities.
